a-poem-a-day challenge for the month of April
Silence is just silence.
It cannot be:
Tinkling and ringing, however faint;
Singing of crickets, however pleasant;
Hissing of an empty tap;
Muffled whoosh in a vacuum.
Silence is a sound in itself.
Even a smidgen of noise
Spoils it.
This resonates so much with me. Thank you.
with me too!! thank you for this Rashmi
the word smidgen has such a nice under the breath sound :) Reading the poem and sounding the words even if silently too would be loud, I suppose!
Loved "silence is a sound in itself." So true, so true!
