I keep on reading them. Why?
Perhaps they tell me
something I need to know
about myself. That's one theory
that Freud and Jung promoted
Or maybe they are cautionary
tales: What not to do
Your short, almost bullet-point lines really highlight how the mythologies are peopled by such vividly "bad" characters! Maybe we keep reading them because its a more erudite way to indulge our yearning for soap-opera type stories :)
