Staying Soft

like cotton saris washed
over and over again for many years

like ice cream swooshed into
a cone

like pliable play doh

like moisturised heels scraped off
of all hard callouses

like the healing gauze on the wound.

  2. Welcome back, ADG. Oh I love the well-washed cotton saree image. And in the Chennai of today, the swoosh of icecream into a cone.

  6. Thanks all. Your presence and encouragement brought me back. Have been feeling a bit burnt-out so took off to just be a heap for a few days. <3
