Learning
the English
alphabet from
your school-going
kids. Getting
published in
your mother
tongue, still.
Cooking in an
open veranda
rain and sun
when your
husband retired
and having a
kitchen became
a privilege.
Becoming a
breadwinner
with a retired
husband and
four mouths
to feed. Then
six, when your
daughter returns
from a failed
marriage with
two children.
Putting a roof
over your family
after retirement.
Selling off every
piece of jewellery
and your gold
medals for writing.
A wife, mother,
grandmother. An
author. You did
courage on a
daily basis. Why
then did history
books only talk
about courage
being displayed
on battlefields?
wow! So moving... Thank you for sharing this Bhaswati
