Five minutes is far too short a time
To write one sentence, let alone a rhyme.
Perhaps I should be generous and kind
And give one more minute for peace of mind.
But time moves fast, and I should let them go
At 2:25 so that they know
That I can sometimes stick to time,
If nothing else, at least in rhyme.
