a-poem-a-day challenge for the month of April
Time unbandages.
A stitch cries in pain.
All that had gone numb,
Is wound, again.
---
Saline hope drips
into my vein,
Desert mouth opens,
Eyes an oasis, again.
Muffled howls plucked.
All that wasn’t said
weeps blood, finally,
I breathe, again.
So many powerful metaphors here. Saline hope, desert mouth, eyes as oasis, wow.
Thrilled to see you back on the blog.. and to hear your (writing) voice again!
Thank you!
