No, he is not aware
that his body has sloped
into the shoulder of his co-passenger.
This man fallen
into an exhausted sleep
on the evening train.
He is far away now
somewhere gentler.
He leaves behind only
this careless body
face empty
palms facing up
as though in surrender
or prayer.
