In the park across the street
young men play cricket
the neighborhood strays lay about
couples cuddle close on benches.
On occasion goats and cattle
wander in to graze and leave behind
copious droppings.
Stepping carefully around
walkers walk, watchful as
Arjuna’s precise eye.
Across the park,
four floors above the ground
in one among identical balconies
a fish circles on a wheel
feeling, on some days, like shit.
That ending had me chuckling inside. But poor fish!
