Sunning
There's always a student sunning herself
in the lawns below my office.
Swiveling away from the window
I snigger often:
How much sun could these girls need
in summer?
Today she's got friends and frisbees.
today, she is the sun.
রোজ আমার কেবিনের নীচে
কোনো না কোনো ছাত্রী
সূর্যের সেঁক নেয়।
রোদ থেকে চেয়ারটা টেনে নিয়ে
আমি মিটিমিটি হাসি
গরমকালে কত আর সূর্য
চাই এদের?
আজ ছাত্রী এসেছে দলেবলে, খেলাধুলোয়।
আজ সে-ই তো সূর্য।
