How to listen to Saheb

At the emergency meeting of the sants,
they didn't bother to decide on much
of the worldly details, or if time was
to be kept? Whose time,
if yes? One could worry
about the unstitched cloth
on most, not keeping warmth;
if this room too had a want of fire.
Then Kabirdas, suddenly looked at Babasaheb,
as if in the midst of a thought, and asked:
Bhim, howcome you stopped
at just one?
Who will burn the rest?

  1. I run a community called People Tree Project Co. where we read poems by other poets every week. For this year's NaPoWriMo we're sharing one poem every day as a prompt, for people to write in response, or after, or wherever the inspiration takes them.

    If anyone is interested you can follow along on instagram.com/peopletreeprojectco

  2. Very thought provoking. I was wondering if you want to retain the two question marks in the beginning. Try replacing with a full stop and see if it reads to the purpose of your writing.

    1. Oh yes, I see it. The points are rhetorical, the question marks can be replaced with a full stop for it to flow better. Thanks!
